Enfocus Showcases Newest Quality Control & Automation Solutions at Graphics of the Americas

Thursday 17. February 2011 - Meet Stephen Hosford, Enfocus VAR Channel Sales Manager, North America and Latin America

Enfocus, a leader in quality control and automation software, announces that Graphics of the Americas (GOA) 2011 attendees will see the newest versions of its PitStop family of quality control products and Switch automation platform — all on-site at Enfocus booth 638 at GOA, February 24-26 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
Enfocus executives at the exhibit will include Stephen Hosford, Enfocus VAR Channel Sales Manager for North and now Latin, America.
The Enfocus PitStop Quality Control Family
PitStop Connect — Enfocus’ 2010 breakthrough tool makes PDF preflight & delivery an easy, hands-off process between designers and production or publishing partners. Customer feedback was instrumental to the recently announced, first update to PitStop Connect, which will be demonstrated at Enfocus booth 638.
PitStop Connect lets printers and publishers create Connectors containing specifications for preflight and delivery of PDFs. Once a Connector is created, printers and publishers can distribute it — without incurring additional costs — to as many creative professionals as needed, either via an FTP site or by posting the Connector on a website. The Connectors are free for the creative professional, who just drops completed files on the Connector icon for automatic preflight and delivery according to the printer or publisher’s specifications. Files are delivered to the printers’ FTP or right into Switch.
New in PitStop Connect 09 – update 1; Demonstrations at GOA
This first update to PitStop Connect 09 allows updating of Connectors and live feedback during operations, and is free to all existing PitStop Connect users.
PitStop Connect creators may now also put the newest Connector versions on their FTP server, so that self-aware Connectors on designer machines will notify users that a new version is available for download.
For designers, a key benefit of update 1 is that they will receive continuous feedback while a file is being processed. The main window shows who will receive the files and a progress bar identifies what’s happening, while the log tracks every step.
PitStop Connect 09 update 1 also extends the support for jobs containing multiple files, and allows metadata information to be entered once and is applied to every file.
Enfocus PitStop Pro, Update 1 – PitStop Pro has long been recognized for its many PDF editing features and user-friendly design, enabling easy management and customization of presets and tools. The feedback Enfocus gathers as part of its ‘You first’ commitment to customers contributed to the further expansion of these features in PitStop Pro 10, which was introduced in September 2010. Update 1 offers compatibility with the latest Adobe Acrobat X Standard and Pro. It also introduces compatibility with the latest PDF/X-4:2010 and PDF/A ISO standards.
The Switch Automation Platform
Switch 09 Update 2 — This update of the Switch automation software suite includes a new tool for routing Enfocus Certified PDF files, depending on their preflight status. The Switch Update also adds compatibility with the newest features in PitStop Server 10, which was released in October. PitStop Server 10 users can now create Switch workflows to not only preflight files, but to also automate transparency flattening – with or without preflighting. Switch 09 Update 2 also adds four completely new configurators – for solutions from Dynagram, Elpical, ColorLogic and Axaio – and updates existing configurators.
