Ricoh Introduces Personal Paperless Document Manager

Wednesday 26. January 2011 - Ricoh Americas Corporation, a leading provider of digital office equipment and advanced document management solutions and services, today announced the launch of the next generation of its Personal Paperless Document Manager (PPDMv2). Equipped with more robust and dynamic features, PPDMv2 software converts scanned paper documents into electronic files and routes them to any destination via custom workflows created from a desktop computer. PPDMv2 can accommodate Ricoh, Savin and Lanier branded products.

PPDMv2 software provides a comprehensive platform that integrates seamlessly with Ricoh multifunction products (MFPs) to capture, combine, convert and share documents regardless of the original format. PPDMv2 manages three largely incompatible formats – paper documents, PDFs and Microsoft() Office files – from a desktop application. Users can conveniently access workflows at a MFP to improve productivity and reduce costs.
“In today’s economy, it’s all about producing more at a lower cost,” said Shun Sato, senior vice president, Marketing, Ricoh Americas Corporation. “PPDMv2 provides every employee within an organization state-of-the-art technology that escalates productivity at all levels of the document lifecycle, not just at the multifunction product but at each desktop.”
