Dave Freygang Named Senior Vice President at Bonnier Corporation

Friday 14. January 2011 - Dave Freygang to head new division at Bonnier Corporation.

Dave Freygang thas been named senior vice president of the Bonnier Corporation’s newly formed special interest division. The new division combines nearly 40 brands in several business units: TransWorld, travel, water sports and marine/aviation. Top brands include TransWorld SKATEboarding, Islands, Scuba Diving and Boating.
“Dave has been an exceptional, energetic leader in the company’s rapid evolution over the years, with a long record of success,” says Terry Snow, CEO at Bonnier Corporation. “In his publishing roles here, Dave has made his titles the leaders in their markets, with record growth in revenue and profits. I have full confidence in Dave’s ability to strengthen our overall business in his new position.”
Most recently, Freygang served as vice president, publishing for the TransWorld and water sports titles. He also played a major role in acquisitions and new launches, as well as introducing digital and new event businesses to nearly every brand. Prior to his publishing tenure, he served as chief financial officer in the 1990s.
“Each of these brands has a tremendous opportunity to better connect with their marketing partners and audiences in the rapidly evolving media landscape,” Freygang says. “We are going beyond traditional print and website offerings to create robust media opportunities that will leverage our assets into new businesses and revenue streams.”
