Reichhold Announces Further Price Increases on all Products for European Composites Industry

Thursday 13. January 2011 - Reichhold announces further price increases effective for all orders shipped on or after February 1, 2011 in Europe.

Since the beginning of the New Year, we have experienced continuous and significant price increases for all our key raw materials. Overall market conditions remain volatile with tight availability and despite our best endeavours, we cannot identify any likely way to avert this trend in the near future. Our priority is to maintain supply and product continuity to our customer base.
In light of this situation, we are announcing a 100 EUR/MT price increase on all Polyester and Vinyl Ester Resins and a 150 EUR/MT price increase on all Gelcoat and Bonding Paste Resins shipped on or after February 1, 2011.
While these volatile raw material market conditions continue, we will revise our specific product prices with individual customers on a monthly basis or as allowed by contract.
We appreciate our customers’ understanding of these difficult market conditions as we work with you to minimize the effect of rising material costs upon our product pricing.
Since these market conditions are not expected to change in the near future, these price increases are necessary to enable us to continue to make the investments required to supply high quality, innovative products to support our customers efforts to develop and improve their products and create added value.
