Postmedia Network Canada Corp. and Postmedia Network Inc. Appoint Hugh Dow to the Boards of Directors
Friday 07. January 2011 - Postmedia Network Canada Corp. today announced the appointment of Hugh Dow to the boards of both Postmedia Network Canada Corp. and its subsidiary Postmedia Network Inc. (referred to collectively as "Postmedia Network").

Hugh Dow has been a leading figure in Canadian media management for more than 40 years.
In 1989 Mr. Dow launched Canada’s first agency-parented media management company – Initiative Media. In 2000, Initiative Media became M2 Universal, a free-standing business unit providing media management services to MacLaren McCann clients as well as for a growing and impressive list of media only clients. Under Mr. Dow’s leadership, M2 Universal became one of Canada’s largest media management companies with billings in excess of $600 million.
In 2007, Mr. Dow assumed global responsibilities with Universal McCann, the global media network of which M2 Universal is the Canadian arm. In February 2009 Mr. Dow was named Chairman, Mediabrands Canada with responsibilities for all of Interpublic’s Canadian media assets.
Recently retired as chairman of Mediabrands Canada, Mr. Dow has been called ‘one of the country’s pre-eminent media thinkers and practitioners’ and was named ‘Media Person of the Decade’ by Strategy Magazine in December, 2010.
