In anticipation of accelerating demand for lotion dispensers that provide high performance protection for today’s radical new skin care formulations, Rexam has built upon the success of the neutral Nea atmospheric engine with the launch of the Nea Airless line.
Rexam, a pioneer in true airless dispensing technology, debuted its Nea Airless – which combines formula preservation, design flexibility, production efficiency, on-shelf appeal, smooth actuation – and value – at Luxe Pack Monaco.
“Our Nea Airless represents a significant new packaging alternative to existing airless dispensers, at a time of increased popularity of preservative-free or other formulations sensitive to oxygen and metal

The heart of the Rexam Nea Airless is the Nea engine itself, first introduced in 2008 at Luxe Pack Monaco. Designed without elastomers, the Nea is fitted with a glass ball and a spring placed outside the closing chamber, which assures metal-free formula flow, complete neutrality and protection against formula discoloration and incompatibility. The pump is engineered for smooth actuation, precise dosage and high suction force to handle today’s most viscous and sensitive products.
Rexam offers this comprehensive new airless solution in a 30ml, 50ml and, soon,15ml version and two designs (large, lockable actuator, with- or without cap), and backs it with global, end-to-end, support and service. The Nea Airless is easy to top-fill under atmospheric conditions on high-speed lines — thanks to Rexam’s patented SnapOn technology. Complete high-end decoration, such as hot stamping, silk screening or vacuum metallization, is available.
Further, Rexam’s one-stop supplier capability supports the largest launches throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia with localized and flexible material delivery, resulting in reduced lead times and optimal supply chain efficiency.
