Offset Printing
An Edale Beta sale in Romania
Tuesday 21. December 2010 - A busy year for UK manufacturers Edale, and their Romanian distributors Carpatgraf, has resulted in the sale of a five colour UV modular flexo press, the Edale Beta to Romanian company, Thea.
Thea were predominantly an offset printing company, but realised that this was having a negative impact on their business as flexographic printing was starting to rise in the market.
With a background which started primarily in developing flexographic machines for the labeling industry, the past ten years have seen Edale steadily broaden their technological capabilities. This is demonstrated in their range of highly advanced machines developed for the company’s four main areas of business: Flexographic Printing, Digital Printing, Commercial Security and Speciality Converting.
Thea’s decision to purchase the Edale Beta was initiated by their desire to move away from offset and their desire to install the finest equipment for the production of self-adhesive labels. Thea originally viewed Edale’s compact flexographic printing press, the Alpha, but soon realised that the modular construction of the Beta would offer them more flexibility and suited their factory layout.
During their decision making process Thea viewed an Edale Beta machine in production at an existing Edale customer’s factory and were particularly impressed with the build construction and the high quality print.
With over 70 installations Worldwide, the Beta is key to Edale’s product range. Designed for easy accessibility and flexibility, the Beta has the capacity to incorporate up to 14 print stations and three converting stations and is highly suited to the production of labels, tags and sachets. The modular design of the machine makes upgrades simple and allows for a wide range of additional options to be added, at any time.
