K4 Customer KircherBurkhardt Clinches 2010 Gold Econ Award for Bundeswehr Magazine
Monday 29. November 2010 - The Econ Awards are bestowed to honor the best corporate communication practices in the Germanophone region. The annual competition, sponsored by Econ Verlag and the leading German business newspaper Handelsblatt, has been held since 2007.
This year K4 customer KircherBurkhardt entered the contest with “Y”, the German federal armed forces’ employee magazine, taking home gold in the magazine category. “Y” aims to boost troops’ morale and enhance the image of the country’s armed forces.
Explaining its decision, the jury said, “The German army provides a template for how creative employee communication works, and many a company would do well to emulate it. Its design is as interesting and modern as the selection of topics – a fitting mix of entertaining and highly relevant serious content. Its transparent and reflective style merits praise. When it comes to image cultivation, the German Bundeswehr has arrived in the 21st century with its Y magazine.”
