Océ Continues Expansion of imageRUNNER ADVANCE Offering with Compact Office MFPs

Tuesday 16. November 2010 - Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2030/C2020 products are now available to Océ customers

Océ, an international leader in digital document management, today announced that Océ North America Document Printing Systems has begun selling the Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2030/C2020 color multifunctional printers. Ideal for workgroups, branch offices and small businesses, these reliable and productive models enable users to create professional documents and conveniently collaborate with other users and devices, in a compact space.
“The introduction of these compact products allows us to bring increased efficiency to customers in light-production environments,” said John Reilly, President, Océ North America, Document Printing Systems. “These models give users productive features found in much larger products in a size that will allow them to manage costs so they can continue to move forward.”
With the addition of imageRUNNER ADVANCE Essentials software suite, which seamlessly integrates with imageRUNNER ADVANCE models, users receive an enhanced experience that allows for greater convenience and office integration. imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop, as well as imageRUNNER ADVANCE Tracker, Workflow Composer and MEAP Connectors enable users to perform imageRUNNER ADVANCE functions from their PCs, track and manage device use and output and transform multi-step workflows into single-button operations.
Starting with a 5.7″ color, high-resolution user interface that features Main Menu and Quick Menu keys for convenient access to popular functions and one-touch controls for commonly used jobs, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2030/C2020 models maximize user efficiency. Print speeds of up to 30 pages per minute (ppm) and 20 ppm (letter) further give users fast access to the documents they need. Users can also speed up workflows by directly connecting the models to USB memory devices, SD cards and CompactFlash cards.
“We are excited to offer Canon’s imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2030/C2020 to Océ customers,” said Sam Yoshida, Vice President and General Manager, Imaging Systems Group, Canon U.S.A. “The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2030/C2020 will offer a complete range of next-generation document imaging solutions to end-users ranging from low-volume offices seeking increased efficiency to high-volume, light-production environments seeking optimal performance and cost-savings.”
For greater office integration and convenience, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2030/C2020 models support Canon’s MEAP technology, allowing them to fit into customized business processes and third-party software applications. With the Universal Send feature, users can scan color and black & white documents and distribute them to network folders, email addresses and fax numbers. Users can also store and access files in the Advanced Box folders of other imageRUNNER ADVANCE models. For greater fax functionality, Remote Fax allows users to share the fax function of another imageRUNNER ADVANCE system to reduce the cost of maintaining multiple fax devices and lines.
In addition to enhanced features, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2030/C2020 devices print, copy, scan and distribute documents in color and black & white and offer superb image quality with up to 1,200 x 1200 dots-per-inch (dpi) print resolution. Further improving image quality, Canon’s oil-free pQ toner enables users to produce clear images and text with a high-quality finish.
To allow businesses to maximize productivity and control costs, the imageRUNNER C2030/C2020 devices make it easy to control and limit features to selected users. Canon’s Driver Configuration Tool allows administrators to limit use to black & white or duplex printing or add watermarks. With imageRUNNER ADVANCE Tracker, users can monitor print, copy, scan and fax capabilities from their PC. Messages can even be added to a model’s display screen to remind users about duplex or black & white printing.
To further allow users to control costs and decrease their environmental impact, Canon’s RAPID Fusing Technology helps reduce power use and the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2030/2020 models consume just 1 watt of electricity in Sleep mode. The devices also emit up to 30 percent fewer CO2 emissions than previous models and certain components are made with 100 percent recycled plastic.
