Great Lakes Solutions Launched As New Brand for Chemturas Flame Retardants, Brominated Performance Products and Fumigants Business

Chemtura Corporation introduces the Great Lakes Solutions brand for its flame retardants, brominated performance products and fumigants business at K2010 in Düsseldorf, Germany which is being held October 27-November 3, 2010. In addition, the business is introducing its new Emerald series of greener flame retardant products.
“This is an exciting time in our business,” said President Anne Noonan. “The timing of our rebranding as Great Lakes Solutions is in line with our current, three-prong strategy of greener innovation, geographic expansion and footprint optimization. A fourth new Emerald product will be introduced in the weeks to come.”
The business has been in existence since 1933 and has operated as Chemtura since 2005 when Great Lakes Chemical Corporation and Crompton Corporation combined. Noonan said the new name is the result of positive customer feedback about the long track record of performance and experience blended with forward-thinking innovation to better serve global customers. She added, “The Great Lakes Solutions name builds on our strong heritage while introducing innovative products and services that provide differentiation in the marketplace, and greener and sustainable solutions for our customers without sacrificing performance or quality.”
