Bosch at the Fachpack 2010: Flexible and successful case packer

Monday 04. October 2010 - At the Fachpack Paal, a Bosch Packaging Technology company, presents the case packer Elematic 3000S. Paal has already built the serially produced machines more than 650 times.

In the model year 2011 the Elematic 3000S offers the customers high flexibility. Thanks to a variable forming tube format changes are simple. Moreover, the machine can produce different packaging styles like tray, tray with inner hood, décolleté and wrap-around complete cover. The engineers newly designed the case blank magazines of the successful machine, these now stand out through low filling levels. In addition, the machine is equipped with multiple Paal assist systems.

Paal includes the assist systems “standy and sleep” as a package and also upgrades the Elematic machines on demand. The software consistently uses production down times for energy saving and automatically puts the machine in a standby or sleep mode. Thus, the standby mode saves up to 20% compared to a normal production down time. The sleep mode that saves up to 70% goes a step further as it almost completely shuts the machine down during production down times. The modules influence among others energy-consuming components as conveyance, servo-systems and hotmelt systems. The Paal assist system MIS (maintenance information system) informs the operator about pending maintenance jobs and also shows when they need to be done.
