Plenty of room for a topic offering great possibilities: The Digital Signage World at viscom frankfurt 2010
Tuesday 03. August 2010 - As a "fair within the fair" it is very popular with exhibitors and visitors: since 2007, the Digital Signage World has been the main point of reference at viscom where digital lettering and information are concerned.
It is the world’s largest presentation of examples of application and showcases complete solutions for retail businesses, information and guidance systems, interactivity and content. International suppliers of hardware, software and complete solutions present products for a wide range of sectors such as retail shops, hotels, railway stations and airports or public areas. The topic of digital signage therefore constitutes the link to classic advertising and lighting technology, to PoS/display applications as well as outdoor advertising. With a large exhibition area for the expected 11,000 visitors, a broad range of guided tours, lectures and workshops as well as an award, viscom offers the full range of digital signage.
Many exhibitors already registered
Even at this stage, large parts of the Digital Signage World area are already booked. Big industry players like Epson Deutschland, HJE Systembau Eickhoff GmbH, Macnetix GmbH, NEC Display Solutions GmbH and SDI Gesellschaft für Medientechnologie mbH have made firm registrations. In addition to the companies on individual exhibition areas, software and service providers present themselves in the Digital Signage Developer Park. An “all-inclusive package” for exhibitors in this special section comprises the stand, catalogue entry, Internet presence and advertising material. A Digital Signage Lounge – functioning as a networking area and rest zone – is also part of the special area.
Digital Signage Days
In the field of digital signage, viscom is not only an international market place but also a further education forum. During the Digital Signage Days on 4 and 5 November, numerous lectures at the viscom forum complement the exhibition. Specialists from associations and the industry will then provide an overview of content, technology and communication planning, as well as examples of successful digital signage applications. Exhibitors will also provide an insight into their current projects.
Digital Signage Expert Tour
First offered at viscom düsseldorf last year, it proved very popular with visitors. Reason enough to give interested persons the possibility of a guided tour through the Digital Signage World. The Digital Signage Expert Tour is offered in cooperation with Minicom Digital Signage, the market leader for “Last Mile” player-to-screen connectivity solutions, and allows visitors to experience and understand the structure of digital signage applications directly at the trade fair. The tour is offered free of charge in German and English on all three viscom days.
Digital Signage Best Practice Award
Innovations in the field of digital signage are omnipresent at viscom. This is true particularly of the Digital Signage Best Practice Award presentation area. During the trade fair, the nominated digital signage applications will be on display there. For the fourth time already, the prize will be awarded at viscom in cooperation with Dockter Marketing. With its five categories, the Digital Signage Best Practice Award reflects a wide range of projects: Retail Signage (digital applications in the retail sector), Information Signage (digital information on public displays), Guiding Signage (digital guidance systems in public areas), Content for Digital Signage (content for digital signage applications), Interactive Signage (digital signage applications with interactive elements). Manufacturers, service providers, agencies and integrators can apply, on the condition that applications are made jointly by the respective client and supplier. Applicants do not necessarily have to be exhibitors at viscom.
