Flint Group Showcases New Technology at Labelexpo Americas 2010, Booth #840

Tuesday 03. August 2010 - New innovations for label and narrow web printing • Thin plate technology for a more sustainable workflow • rotec Label Sleeve with superior dimensional stability • Flexocure FORCE - the latest in UV Flexo technology • Cast & Cure Coatings - UV coatings specifically designed for the Cast & Cure process

With one-stop shopping for the latest technology in high performance printing plates, sleeves/adapters and inks, Flint Group will showcase the latest technology for label and narrow web printers at the upcoming Labelexpo exhibit in Rosemont, IL (Chicago) September 14-16.

Flint Group Flexographic Products will introduce the more eco-efficient, thin plate technology with the nyloflex FAB 030 Digital printing plates, which shows its strengths specifically in narrow web printing. The thinner plates offer a myriad of benefits including reduced energy consumption and waste, lower dot gain, less distortion and cupping of plates and faster processing speeds with increased consistency. The nyloflex FAB plates offer outstanding resistance to UV inks and enhanced flexibility to wrap around small diameter printing cylinders. “To be able to offer the customer a solution that provides increased eco-efficiency, together with the polymer performance of the nyloflex FAB plate, is a winning combination for success” explained Dan Rosen, Sales Director / National Accounts, North America. “We see this as a very viable option for narrow web printers looking for a more sustainable solution in the future.”

In addition to printing plates, Flint Group Flexographic Products will showcase the rotec Label Sleeve, developed specifically for narrow web printing with increased dimensional stability and excellent edge stability. The highly durable sleeve exhibits excellent concentricity under various temperature/humidity conditions and performs well with virtually all plate/tape thicknesses. All types of adapters can be used with the rotec Label Sleeve.

By understanding the full potential of the various narrow web print techniques, Flint Group Narrow Web brings converters optimal combinations to create the most eye-catching and value added label possible. Says Niklas Olsson, Flint Group Narrow Web Global Brand Manager, “We know it’s not enough to provide inks that enable converters to reach award winning print quality – most of our developments today reach beyond this. Flint Group delivers inks of the finest art possible, but more importantly they provide possibilities for converters to improve their own bottom line profitability as well as improving the converter’s line efficiency, regardless if it’s self adhesive labels, in-mold labels or shrink sleeves. We provide real time solutions through the most innovative ink technologies that excel in performance far beyond the print quality”. Flint Group Narrow Web will show the latest technologies they have – including some new, very interesting, products – some that still are going through the final fine-tuning R&D phase and, therefore, will be launched at the show. Niklas Olsson continues, “We trust our track record of innovations over the last 35 years will inspire converters to find out more about the break-through solutions and milestone innovations when visiting our booth at Labelexpo.” The recent introduction of Flexocure FORCE, our latest introduction in UV Flexo technology, along with Flint Group’s various coatings for the Cast & Cure process can only give a flavour of how Flint Group can provide true value-added ideas for our customers.

During Labelexpo Americas Flint Group will also host the 6th Annual Narrow Web Print Awards Wednesday, September 15 at 4:00 p.m. directly at their stand. This award is dedicated to celebrate the excellence and innovation in the wider world of narrow web printing – honoring those “inspirational” print jobs in the industry. Label converters from all over the world are encouraged to submit sample labels of their choosing for evaluation by a panel of industry judges.
