Textile finishing at viscom: International trade fair shows the complete range of technical possibilities

Tuesday 20. July 2010 - Embroidering, printing, flocking: Since it began, textile finishing has been one of the main topics of viscom. Whether jackets, T-shirts or caps - adverts and messages can be perfectly transported on the widest variety of textiles. Where leisure, club and sports fashion is concerned, the finishing of textiles is also a major topic.

The multifarious techniques, examples of use and their range of applications will be on display from 4 to 6 November at the International Trade Fair for Visual Communication in Frankfurt. Over 10,000 visitors from 70 countries and around 300 international exhibitors are expected to attend. Where textile finishing is concerned, this includes top companies such as Karl Gröner GmbH, IVB-Transfer Druck Systeme, Astec4u, Complott Papier Union GmbH, Print Equipment GmbH & Co KG, Falk & Ross Group Europe, Madeira, Mimaki-nbn GmbH, MOUNTEK GmbH and Outdoor Color Printing. In Hall 3.0, they will be presenting pure high-tech with the very latest state-of-the-art machines.

The multifarious nature of the finishing processes requires a large range of suitable textile machines and equipment, as well as a suitable selection of accessories and materials. For the following sectors, viscom also provides optimum opportunities for presentation of and information on: Flock printing and flocking installations, embroidering machines, textile printing media, flock transfer and adhesion systems, screen printing and transfer techniques, embroidery yarns, embroidery technology systems, clothing and transfer presses.

Apart from the classical techniques, digital textile printing with the latest printers, inks, printing substrates and the latest software provides virtually unlimited possibilities and has become a gigantic growth market. This is because virtually very surface can now be printed. The possibilities of digital textile printing have also reached the attention of other markets: e.g. inflatable goods, spinnakers, parasols, stretched fabric structures, sunblind roller shutters and much more. The companies are working flat out on new model ranges for textile solutions, which will open up additional applications, so as to satisfy the constantly rising market demands for textile solutions.
