PRINTABLE ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF DIRECTYPE

Thursday 20. May 2010 - Printable Technologies Inc., a leading provider of software as a service (SaaS) web-to-print and marketing personalization solutions, announced today the acquisition of DirecType, a premiere supplier of image personalization software.

Since 2003, DirecType has produced best-in-class image personalization software for both Mac and PC users, earning a well-regarded reputation in the digital printing industry.

Image personalization combines data and imagery to produce unique eye-catching imagery that has a dramatic impact on the recipient. The use of personalized images within VDP marketing campaigns has been proven to dramatically increase response rates and escalate ROI. Print service providers implement image personalization to widen their portfolio of services and increase profit margins.

Printable has launched FusionPro Expression to replace the DirecType brand. The FusionPro Expression product suite includes both desktop and server versions that can work independently or in conjunction with other Printable products. The most significant development will come in late June when FusionPro Expression will work directly with the popular FusionPro Desktop to output full VDP campaigns with unlimited image personalization. At $799 and no charge per image, FusionPro Expression will be the most affordable image personalization product in the marketplace. Competing products are an order of magnitude more expensive and include significant ongoing usage fees with a cap on the number of images produced or charge per image created.
