Kodak Appoints Eric Owen as Worldwide Vice President of Customer Development for Digital Printing Solutions

Friday 26. March 2010 - In a newly created position, Eric Owen leads a team dedicated to developing new ways of enabling customers to grow their businesses with Kodak’s digital printing technologies. Owen will manage relationships with customers of the KODAK PROSPER portfolio, KODAK NEXPRESS SE Digital Production Color Presses and KODAK VERSAMARK VL-Series Printing Systems.

“Eric has done a tremendous job overseeing the successful global market development for the PROSPER Press over the past year,” said Kevin Joyce, Worldwide Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Digital Printing Solutions, Kodak. “In his new role, Eric will utilize his expertise to focus on identifying and implementing new applications that create new revenue for customers of PROSPER Products and the rest of our digital printing portfolio.”

Owen most recently served as Worldwide Director of Market Development for Digital Printing Solutions and managed all sales to date of PROSPER Presses. PROSPER Press customers include Rotomail Italia, Offset Paperback Manufacturers, Webcrafters and Consolidated Graphics.

Previously, Owen held positions of increasing responsibility in global and market-focused sales during his 15 years with Kodak. Owen has been the featured speaker at various technology-oriented events and a contributing columnist for numerous trade publications.

The color KODAK PROSPER 5000XL Press and monochrome KODAK PROSPER 1000 Press provide consistency from press to press and job to job, making it easy for printers to ensure maximum productivity and uptime. The family of PROSPER Products also includes the KODAK PROSPER S10 and S5 Imprinting Systems—monochrome continuous inkjet solutions for inline digital printing on high-speed web presses, finishing equipment and mailbases.

The NEXPRESS SE Platform with Print Genius enables significant gains in image quality, business productivity, profitability and growth for applications such as direct mail, marketing collateral, catalogs, photo books and more.

VERSAMARK VL-Series Printing Systems are designed to reduce turnaround time and cost by streamlining the production process through forms replacement—eliminating the two-step process of printing offset forms or master documents and then imprinting variable data offline. The VERSAMARK VL-Series Printing Systems offer a low total cost of ownership, ease of use and a small footprint to take up less space.
