Leading French transactional publisher Group Tagg Informatique heaps praise on newly acquired iPrint 125 by IMPIKA
Thursday 18. March 2010 - In just one month of operating at full capacity, the printers output exceeds 12 million A4 four color pages
In response to and in anticipation of strong market demand for color printing (TransPromo and Direct Marketing), the group Tagg Informatique, a leading provider of transactional and transpromo services in France and a pioneer of the migration to color, has decided to increase its production capacity in a quest for greater productivity and profitability.
IMPIKA supplied Tagg Informatique with a solution to both challenges by installing an iPrint 125 TED (Twin Engine Duplex), the latest model in its continuous-feed printers using water based inkjet technology. The press was installed at their site in Albens, France, and outstanding results were immediately observed. After one month of operating 24/7, Tagg Informatique reached a record production of 12 million A4 color pages with the press. This number was achieved for several new transactional markets based on the principle of “the multi-purpose white reel”. Todays market trends extend the printing of variable data to annexed documents, thereby greatly increasing printing flows and printed volumes.
Productivity and Versatility
According to Tagg Informatique CEO -Hervé Lesseur- the performance of the iPrint 125 is characterized by its productivity and versatility. “Thanks to IMPIKAs twinned iPrint printers (TED) we now have the ability to print color and manage variability at very high-speeds in duplex mode. The possibility of separating the two printers also adds flexibility to manage high volumes. This versatility, unique on the market, maximizes productivity and helps broaden our range of services. IMPIKAs solution stands out because of its range of configurations for print settings, and it allows us to offer a level of quality that is adapted to a variety of market needs.”
In addition to its flexibility, the press also boasts scalability. The machine was designed to accommodate the integration of additional functions such as MICR for secure printing applications (check-letters
) or even six color process printing.
Simple, User-Friendly Implementation
Less than eight days were necessary to complete the full process of assembly, training and launch.
IMPIKA Director of Sales and Marketing Jean Marc Pasturel adds “The operational simplicity, great technical accessibility and reliability of equipment all contributed to the success achieved by Tagg Informatique, pioneer and expert in digital four-color printing at high speed.”
The Tagg Informatique team was also impressed by the quality of IMPIKAs on site service during installation and by its post-installation remote technical support.
With all eyes on the success of the companys new iPrint 125, talks are already underway to acquire a second press.
