Kodak’s Russell Hunt, Regional Business Manager, United States and Canada, Selected as 2010 CRN Channel Chief

Thursday 18. March 2010 - Russell Hunt, Regional Business Manager, United States & Canada, Document Imaging, Kodak’s Business Solutions and Services Group, earned recognition as a 2010 Channel Chief by Everything Channel’s CRN.

Hunt led the transformation of two existing channel programs into one cohesive program. Through Hunt’s work, the integration enhances Kodak’s capabilities to deliver innovative services across a wide range of markets including healthcare, government and finance.

A veteran with more than 27 years of service to the high-tech document capture channel, Hunt arrived to Kodak’s Business Solutions and Services Group in 2009 via Kodak’s acquisition of the BÖWE BELL + HOWELL (BBH) scanner division. He had a firm goal of successfully integrating that business with Kodak. As a result, BBH channel partners now cohesively exist within an expanded Kodak channel, the sales group has grown approximately by a third, and new business developments have been initiated in critical areas including healthcare, MICROSOFT SHAREPOINT, and Multivendor Service (MVS).

“Russell achieved great accomplishments, not only integrating two well-respected channel organizations to increase revenue, but also using that opportunity to enhance what Kodak can do for its customers,” said Tony Barbeau, General Manager, Document Imaging, Kodak’s Business Solutions and Services Group. “With this newly expanded business portfolio that includes the former BBH scanner division, Kodak’s channel partners have new opportunities and additional choices in hardware, software, solutions, service and support to help them to better service their customers.”

For the eighth consecutive year the Channel Chiefs were chosen by Everything Channel editors on criteria including policy and program innovations made during the past year, the amount of revenue their company generates through partners, their willingness to speak out publicly on behalf of the channel, and the number of years they have dedicated to channel activities.

“Being named a Channel Chiefis one of the most prestigious honors in the IT industry. This year’s Channel Chiefs offers tremendous insight into the who’s who of the Channel,” said Kelley Damore, VP, Editorial Director, Everything Channel. “Top channel executives consistently ensure that the Channel’s voice is heard when strategic decisions are being made and continually nurture mutually profitable relationships. We applaud the 2010 Channel Chiefs for their successful partner programs and strategies.”
