Trisoft Graphics Uses KODAK Workflow and Proofing Systems to Give Packaging a Competitive Edge

Wednesday 17. March 2010 - Trisoft Graphics, Inc., a premier digital prepress and graphic design company primarily serving the packaging industry, today announced that it has added a KODAK APPROVAL XP4 Digital Color Imaging System and KODAK INSITE Creative Workflow System to its existing line up of KODAK Prepress and Printing Solutions.

The new proofing and workflow systems give the company’s flexible packaging customers a competitive edge by streamlining communication and producing more accurate proofs.

Brand owners rely on their packaging to stand out in the marketplace and differentiate their products. When updating packaging designs or introducing a new package design, brand owners want to know exactly what the final package will look like before beginning production. By adding the APPROVAL Digital Color Imaging System and INSITE Creative Workflow System to a process that already features a KODAK FLEXCEL NX Digital Flexographic System, KODAK THERMOFLEX Narrow Platesetter and KODAK PRINERGY POWERPACK Work???ow, Trisoft Graphics is using state-of-the-art technology as a more efficient way to produce high-quality packaging on a variety of substrates.

“Because packaging is such a fast-changing, competitive business, we are always looking for ways to make sure we are taking advantage of technology to provide our customers with the best service,” said Tristan Zafra, owner of Costa Mesa, California-based Trisoft Graphics. “We’ve worked with Kodak to create an integrated packaging design system that gives us the quality, speed, color accuracy, flexibility and efficiency our customers demand.”

Trisoft Graphics has a strong history of innovation. In 2004, the company was the first in California to adopt thermal plate processing. A few years later, in 2008, Trisoft Graphics was the first West Coast installation of the FLEXCEL NX Digital Flexographic System. The company’s commitment to staying on the leading edge of technological advances has resulted in an increase of referral business and built a loyal customer base, Zafra said.

The APPROVAL Digital Color Imaging System is a complete suite of hardware, software and consumable materials to create color proofs accurately and consistently. The proofing system provides the greatest possible confidence in predicting color and appearance of the final three-dimensional package, giving brand owners a clear sense of what the final product will look like on the store shelf.

The INSITE Creative Workflow System enables creative collaboration, both internally and with customers. It allows designers to track project status and share, proof and approve files over the Internet while keeping tight control over content creation. Its pixel streaming technology enables reviewers to work on the full-resolution production files. By improving project communication, the INSITE Creative Workflow System helps ensure customer satisfaction.

“Trisoft Graphics is an excellent example of how Kodak partners with flexographic and packaging trade shops and printers to provide a complete solution from concept to final product,” said John Anderson, Director, Packaging Segment Marketing, United States and Canada, Kodak. “The versatility of these KODAK Products opens the door to new revenue opportunities for our customers and provides bottom-line value to packaging designers, printers and brand owners.”
