InfoPrint Solutions Company previews highlights at IPEX 2010

Thursday 11. March 2010 - Key Themes include AFP and Color Leadership; Workflow and TransPromo

InfoPrint Solutions Company, a joint venture between IBM and Ricoh, today announced that it is exhibiting at IPEX 2010 for the first time. InfoPrint will be sharing space with Ricoh at stand number 12-D130, Birmingham NEC, 18th – 25th May 2010.
At IPEX, InfoPrint will be demonstrating its latest production print solutions including its market-leading InfoPrint 5000 continuous forms colour solution. Designed for transactional printers, service bureaus and direct mailers, the InfoPrint 5000 offers high reliability and high security. InfoPrint is the industry leader in managing AFP output and the InfoPrint 5000 uses the AFP colour management architecture, providing accurate, consistent, and device-independent colour rendering.
InfoPrint will also be highlighting its leadership in highly personalised, high volume, high-speed applications such as TransPromo and precision marketing. Demonstrations using the InfoPrint ADF workflow solution will show how customers can reduce production and postal costs by automating jobs and controlling each document from composition through mailing.
“At IPEX, we will show customers that both InfoPrint Solutions and Ricoh share the same high level of commitment to technology innovation, environmental issues and customer service,” said Benoit Chatelard, senior vice president and general manager, InfoPrint Solutons EMEA. “IPEX allows us the opportunity to emphasise our data centre expertise with customers in banking, telco, utilities, finance and insurance sectors and in all key markets across marketing and print service providers and outsourcers.”
At IPEX 2010, InfoPrint will demonstrate how it excels in demanding and complex environments where service and data integrity are critical. Many millions of pages are printed daily on InfoPrint Solutions production print systems. For example, McKesson in the UK uses InfoPrint 4100s to print payslips for the 1.3 million employees of the National Health Service, the world’s fourth largest employer.
InfoPrint has many customers in Europe who are using InfoPrint 5000s for TransPromo. These include Vesa Direct, a leading direct and promotional marketing company in Spain that outputs transpromo statements for Telefónica Movistar. UK-based Transactis uses a solution including InfoPrint 5000s, monochrome InfoPrint 4100s and and InfoPrint workflow management to deliver TransPromo and direct marketing services with a choice of integrated communications channels across email, mail and SMS depending on consumer preferences and previous behaviour. One Transactis client is Shop Direct Group, the UK’s leading home shopping and multi-channel retailer.
With customers choosing between a wide array of technologies for their production print environment – for example continuous forms or cut-sheet, colour or monochrome – InfoPrint is a leader with a solutions-based approach that encompasses all elements including print engines, workflow management, third party applications and professional services.
According to market forecasts, high-volume monochrome transaction customers are increasing their interest in colour and recognising the potential to increase revenue, eliminate pre-printed forms and improve customer service. At IPEX, InfoPrint will be highlighting how it can help businesses simplify the transition to colour and help customers overcome the cost and complexity challenges.
Another important theme at the show will be print on demand. InfoPrint’s Print On-Demand books and manuals solution enables customers to achieve short prints at low cost while reducing complexity through automation.
