The European Union relies on SNAP Innovation and K4 Version 6

Friday 29. January 2010 - By signing a framework agreement, the European Union has entrusted SNAP Innovation with the delivery and implementation of the Crossmedia Publishing Platform K4 Version 6, in order to be able to efficiently coordinate the cooperation of 50 proof readers, 30 productioners and more than 50 external authors and prepress service providers.

With a staff of 655 employees the Publications Office of the European Union publishes the Official Journal of the European Union and other periodically published magazines, reports and books. K4 will be integrated via the Documentum-based planning and administration software Plan-Publi and the mark-up language Formex. External authors will be able to work copyfit mainly via Web browser from the new K4 Web Portal, without being obliged to locally install software or fonts.
