Speed Print Finishers upgrades its cutting with latest generation Polar

Friday 08. January 2010 - Speed Print Finishers in Mitcham, Surrey has invested in a brand new Polar 115X to replace a 25 year old machine which the company had bought second hand 17 years ago.

“We have again specified a 115cm width machine so that we can handle work up to B1 although a majority of our work is B2,” says managing director Peter Eels.

“As soon as we had decided to invest in a new guillotine we knew that Polar was the one because of the build quality, speed and accuracy.”

The trade finisher regards its guillotine as the cornerstone of efficiency because almost all work has to be cut before going through to the folders, saddle-stitcher or Cylinder for subsequent processing.

“We see a massive difference between the old and new Polar. The easy programming and speed of back gauge really increases our productivity,” says Mr Eels.

This standalone machine will have six monthly Health & Safety checks by Heidelberg’s expert engineering team, keeping Speed print in compliance and safeguarding its workforce.
