In Jakarta, Gerresheimer exhibits a further developed glass portfolio for the Asian pharma markets
Thursday 12. November 2009 - More competitive than ever: the Group highlights its current range of ampoules, vials, cartridges and syringes
The latest status of technology in the field of pharmaceutical glass packaging and systems is displayed by the Gerresheimer Group at IPEX Indonesia, which is being held in Jakarta on November 11 – 14, 2009. At this important packaging exhibition its key focus is on products for injections: cartridges, ampoules and specific vials produced locally take center stage. the sterile syringe range under the trademark RTF (Ready to Fill) rounds off the presentation on Booth D170 ab.
For the Asian pharma markets Gerresheimer has substantially increased its competiveness one more – including the Tubular Glass Division in particular. In China the globally active Group today has three production plants in this field alone and a first-class product portfolio which meets the highest international quality requirements. “Our strategy is targeted at further development not only in the Chinese market but beyond this the Asian market as a whole,” says Burkhard Lingenberg, Director of Marketing and Communication for the Gerresheimer Group: “From the very start we have also tailored our regional plant locations to this end.” Exhibition visitors will be able to orient themselves in the multifaceted tubular glass range from all viewpoints. European and Asian technology and market specialists are organizing the exhibition in the Indonesian capital together with a prestigious local trading partner.
Experts from the competence center of Gerresheimer Bünde will be on the spot to provide soundly based information from a single source to visitors from the fields of pharmaceutics and healthcare. Across the field of pharma-specific glass quality and surface-treatment, safety aspects and practice of injections, the German innovator ranks among the global technology leaders – its knowhow is also transferred to the local plants on a tailor-made basis. In addition to top-class syringe systems, the display highlights the product spectrum of the Chinese subsidiary Gerresheimer Shuangfeng: it is regarded as one of the most experienced – and at least since the opening of its state-of-the-art plant at Danyang (Jiangsu) in early 2009 – also one of the most competitive pharma glass specialists in the entire region. The latest highlights in its range – which has just recently been further expanded – include cartridges for dental medicine for example as well as ampoules and injection vials of brilliant quality.
