SCREEN PLATERITE 8800 CTP SERIES NOW AVAILABLE WITH PUNCH LESS OPTION
Thursday 09. April 2009 - Screen has announced a version of its B1 PlateRite 8800 platesetter which has the facility to turn off the registration punch. This feature has been specifically developed for plate production for web presses, where punch holes are not required.
Screen’s punch-less option allows the plate to be imaged 90-degree rotated, which would not be possible with punchholes on the side of the plate. It also allows an extra 3mm at the front grip edge, giving a larger imaging area.
It is available as a factory option on the PlateRite 8800E, 8800S and 8800Z models, and is easy to control from the operator panel. The punch-less option is a perfect solution for the Komori System 35D, 25, 43 and 40 and the Goss M-600D web offset presses.
The PlateRite 8800 series is the flagship of the Screen CTP range and is particularly suited to companies with above average plate demands. In addition to exceptional B1-plus throughput, the PlateRite 8800 series also has the flexibility to image a range of smaller plates. The PlateRite 8800 series models offer fast, reliable output, making them the perfect tools for the most advanced digital workflows.
