Tieto to supply consulting services to City of Helsinki

Wednesday 04. February 2009 - City of Helsinki has selected Tieto as the supplier of enterprise architecture consulting services. The contract is for three years. The consulting services are for City of Helsinki's departments and public utilities.

The first step will be to develop a common enterprise architecture management and procedure model for the city. According to the contract, the service package is divided into development and expert services. They include developing a management model for enterprise architecture, developing methods, defining integration architecture, architecture support for IT systems and a continuous development service.

“The City’s latest IT strategy reveals a growing need for planning and managing the total IT scenario and for IT compatibility. The consulting services that we have chosen through competitive bidding will help us make progress towards the strategy goals of comprehensive planning and management of IT,” states project manager Mika Rajanen from City of Helsinki’s Economic and Planning Centre.

“New models will enable us to improve the comprehensive strategic management of IT and develop more effective services with IT. The expert services will help us integrate the methods and know-how, with the aid of the experts, into practical IT projects,” says Mika Rajanen.

Tieto has strongly developed its services for enterprise architecture in recent years, and has supplied these to several government organizations.
