Cascades and Laurent Lemaire get involved in the Grande guignolée des médias
Thursday 04. December 2008 - Tomorrow, all the Québec media will mobilize to assist the poor. Bearing in mind that companies should act and do their share, Cascades and one of its founders will also contribute to the momentum by participating in a meaningful way in the 8th edition of the Grande guignolée des medias (media gathering).
Mr. Laurent Lemaire, Chairman of the Board at Cascades, will deliver one truck load filled with Cascades products to representatives of the event in Sherbrooke. Employees from Cascades Tissue Group will also help the volunteers of the Grande guignolée in other participating cities.
29,160 products to give to the community worth nearly $100,000
Eight 53 feet trailers full of bathroom tissue and paper towels will pave their way on Québec roads this Thursday. In total, 29,160 products will be distributed in six cities: Montréal, Longueuil, Sherbrooke, Victoriaville, Drummondville and Québec.

A greener Christmas
A pioneer in environmental matters, Cascades is proud to offer products that contain 100% recycled fibres that will automatically contribute to a reduction in the environmental footprint of the thousands of people who use them. In addition, all manufacturing processes are certified processed chlorine-free and our plants use 80% less water that the industry average. Even the deliveries will be done ecologically since our truck fleet has been identified as being the most exemplary with regards to the environment by the Association des mandataires en vérification mécanique du Québec.
A gesture of sharing which, we hope, will snowball amongst other Québec companies. Have a nice gathering.
