M-REAL INCREASES PRICES FOR COATED FINE AND MAGAZINE PAPERS

Monday 01. December 2008 - As stated when releasing its Q3/2008 results, M-real stressed the need to increase prices in all main product areas in order to improve profitability.

Whilst prices for both coated fine and coated magazine papers have been increased during 2008, the amounts yet achieved are insufficient. Therefore, M-real sees the need for further increases of approximately 8% to be applied with effect from early 2009. Individual customer negotiations have been started in the various markets.
