Thursday 13. November 2008 - Experienced professional focuses on Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana region

KBA North America, a global press manufacturer based in Williston, Vermont, and Dallas, Texas, announces that William (Bill) Silber has been assigned as the new district sales manager to cover the states of Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, while Marcus Schoen will expand his coverage in representing KBA in the southern California region. Silber has relocated from the Los Angeles area to his new headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Silber joined KBA as its southern California district sales manager in February 2005. Born in Texas and raised in San Diego, Silber has extensive experience in the printing industry. He began as an operations and plant manager at several printing companies, then spent 18 years at another printing press manufacturer, where he first assumed product and marketing management positions.

Silber moved into printing press sales 10 years ago in the metropolitan Los Angeles area, where management turned to him for help closing the most challenging deals. Silber’s accomplishments and successes in sales were recognized with awards for Regional and National Salesman of the Year.

“The three-state region of Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky represents a rich printing market that is a natural fit for the wide array of presses being offered by KBA,” says Silber. “I am excited to work personally with printers in this region to determine how KBA’s award-winning automation and new press technologies will positively impact their businesses.”

In the meantime, Marcus Schoen will continue to represent KBA as district sales manager in the flourishing southern California region. Schoen was named to that position in early 2007; he serves customers in Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange County, and as far east as Las Vegas. Schoen was born and raised in Germany, where he took his first job 17 years ago with KBA in the factory learning the intricacies of the KBA press line. He moved to southern California 10 years ago with KBA to work as the company’s nationwide service technician and product manager, inspecting recently installed KBA presses.

“As KBA continues to introduce new press models and new technology, I will continue to partner with our current and prospective customers to show them how our products can enable them to boost their productivity as well as their sales,” says Schoen.
