International Acclaim for Kempertrautmann & AUDI as Sappi recognise Gold Standard Efficiency at the 2008 EACA EURO EFFIES
Monday 29. September 2008 - On 17th September at the Euro Effie Award Gala, held in Brussels this year, Sappi, a global producer of coated fine paper for the communications industry, is delighted to announce the winner of the Sappi Print Media Efficiency Award.
Hamburg-based agency, kempertrautmann GmbH, takes the award for the second year running, this time for its outstanding print campaign for the Audi R8.
This prestigious award is presented as a Special Award within the European Association of Communication Agencies (EACA) Euro Effies, and is regarded as one of the highest available to cross-border European communication agencies. To be eligible for this special award, competing agencies must have allocated at least 40% of a campaigns media budget to print advertising and have won a Euro Effie in their own right.
Now in their 12th year and recognised around the world, the Euro Effies remain the industry gold standard for judging multi-national European advertising campaigns on the basis of effectiveness. The competition exists to promote excellence in commercial communications campaigns that have proven effectiveness in at least two European countries and stands for a consistent philosophy and a rigorous set of practices, built around the demonstrated ability of advertising to achieve marketing goals.
Head of Sappis Marketing Communications and Business Development, Peter Tielemans says:
“This award is part of Sappis Life with Print initiative, which is committed to bringing the most efficient advertising practices to corporate brand owners and agencies and every year the competition gets more and more exciting. Our congratulations go to kempertrautmann GmbH and their media agency Mediacom Münchem/argonauten for their outstanding campaign to introduce the AUDI R8 to the European market.”
Kempertrautmann GmbH and car manufacturer Audi were also last years winners of the Sappi Print Media Efficiency Award for their campaign to introduce the Audi Q7 into the European market. That campaign also won them a gold Euro Effie in the automotive category.
