Kyburz AG of Switzerland Adds Variable Color with KODAK VERSAMARK Inkjet Printheads
Wednesday 11. June 2008 - Kyburz AG, a leading direct mail printer serving Switzerland, Germany and Scandanavia, is implementing KODAK Continuous Inkjet Technology to increase its full color variable data offerings to customers. The company offers a range of sophisticated services, such as scented varnishes and advanced UV coating, that help differentiate the company from its competitors among the areas direct mail customers.
At drupa 2008, Kyburz ordered four KODAK VERSAMARK DH90 nine inch, four color inkjet printheads to be installed on its Scheffer finishing line. The company already operates four finishing lines with 4.25 inch VERSAMARK Printheads for its diverse applications, and plans to enhance its offerings in segments such as customer loyalty programs and retail coupons.
“With the new KODAK Printheads in our finishing line, we will be able to easily add full color, variable data into sections of pieces that are printed offset,” said Patrick Kyburz, President, Kyburz, AG. “We are maximizing our longstanding investment in offset printing technology by adding these cutting edge digital capabilities.”
The KODAK VERSAMARK DH90 Printheads provide throughput of up to 152 meters per minute at 300 by 600 dpi and complement todays leading offset printing and finishing equipment by adding full variable data capability in any environment. Kodak also is consulting with Kyburz to help the company with its software and digital workflow processes.
