EDS Names Frank Chechile to Lead Saber Government Solutions

Wednesday 28. May 2008 - Frank Chechile, a longtime EDS executive who has led major applications delivery efforts for global clients, today was appointed chief executive officer of Saber Government Solutions, EDS' non-health care U.S. state and local government subsidiary with operations in more than 40 states. Saber is based in Portland.

Chechile replaces Nitin Khanna, who resigned from the company along with his brother, Karan, to pursue other entrepreneurial opportunities. Nitin and Karan Khanna founded and developed Saber as a leading provider of software and services to state governments. The change is effective immediately.

Chechile and Saber Government Solutions report directly to Dennis Stolkey, vice president and general manager of EDS’ U.S. Government and Public Sector.

“EDS greatly appreciates the vision, expertise and leadership of Nitin and Karan in developing Saber into a world-class technology provider to state and local government clients across the United States, and wishes them well,” said Stolkey.

“Frank Chechile is a seasoned and talented senior executive who has spent most of his 23-year EDS career managing major accounts around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the Middle East,” said Stolkey. “Frank’s global experience and focus on providing solutions to EDS’ worldwide client base will serve our Saber customers well as the company grows both domestically and internationally.”

Saber Government Solutions focuses exclusively on state and local government applications in targeted market segments, including motor vehicle administration, unemployment insurance, pensions, human services and voter registration.
