ReadSoft deliver solution worth over 215,000 to state-owned authority in Sweden
Monday 05. May 2008 - A Swedish state authority has chosen to automate the input of the 650,000 supplier invoices it receives annually by connecting ReadSoft's INVOICES to its existing SAP business system. This investment in automating workflow processes is intended to improve quality and increase cost effectiveness. The order is worth over 215,000 EUR.
Nearly one and a half years ago, this state run authority decided to start using an SAP business solution from one of ReadSofts’ partners. As a part of the deal, the authority was offered the option to install ReadSoft’s solution for electronic invoice handling. They have now decided to exercise that option and, with a quick installation, estimate going into production at the start of the third quarter. One reason for the investment is the government mandate, which goes into effect June 30th this year, requiring all state authorities to move to electronic invoice handling.
Investing in electronic invoice handling is part of a larger, concentrated effort that this particular authority is making to improve its IT solutions. The idea is to replace the 70 different IT systems currently in place with one common system, in the hopes of improving quality and enabling more cost-effective processes, within the areas of, for example, management, human resources, finance and logistics.
“By concentrating on electronic invoice handling, this customer will soon be able to realize large annual savings, reduced lead times in its payment processes, and an improved work environment for its personnel, who are now free from the strenuous task of manual invoice handling,” says ReadSoft’s President and CEO Jan Andersson. “The state’s initiative concerning electronic invoice handling is in line witht he current focus on cost effective and environmentally friendly solutions.”
ReadSoft’s INVOICES software, will handle incoming e-invoices, validate them and automatically register them in SAP.
