Friday 02. May 2008 - Over £11,000 raised for The Prince’s Trust

The newspaper industry gave generously to The Prince’s Trust at the 2008 Newspaper Awards held at the London Hilton on 22 April. The fundraising was organised by Fujifilm and raised £11,227 from the guests attending the event.

Prizes for this year’s charity draw were picked by Keith Dalton, director of Graphic Systems, Fujifilm UK and the evening’s host, comedian Rich Hall.

Keith Dalton says: “This is such an impressive total and, yet again, the industry has demonstrated its generosity. The Prince’s Trust is a superb charity and we are delighted that the newspaper industry has given it such great support.”

Caitlin Kennedy, senior head of events at The Trust, comments: “The Prince’s Trust was delighted to be chosen as beneficiary by Fujifilm for The Newspaper Awards 2008. This donation will help so many young people who we work with on a daily basis.”

The Prince’s Trust is the UK’s leading youth charity which provides practical and financial support to young people who need it most. The charity helps to develop key skills, confidence and motivation, enabling young people to move into education, employment or training.
