AllianceBernstein launches with Méthode
Wednesday 30. April 2008 - The New York-based asset management company has started using EidosMedias multiple-media publishing platform to produce its client communications material.
The creation of high-quality client communications material is a key activity for asset management firm AllianceBernstein. The many reports and studies produced by AllianceBernsteins research teams are among the most highly regarded sources of market intelligence available to global investors.
In order to provide an integrated platform for this complex publishing operation, AllianceBernstein decided to adopt Méthode – the new-generation editorial and publishing platform from EidosMedia. Méthode solutions are already widely used in the financial sector by organizations such as the Financial Times and Lloyds List in London, Investir in Paris and Mint, the Indian financial daily partnered with the Wall Street Journal.
“Our editorial operations had grown to the point that we felt the need for an industrial strength publishing system,” explained David Steyn, Global Head of Client Service and Marketing. “Much of our output is also published online and Méthodes cross-media capabilities are essential to achieving the integration we need. At the same time the multi-edition features available in Méthode will simplify the tailoring of our production to specific groups of customers.”
The first phase of the Méthode implementation has now entered production with an integrated platform serving around 50 writers and editorial staff at AllianceBernsteins offices in New York, London and Asia-Pacific.
“AllianceBernstein is one of the first organizations outside the mainstream news and media sector to adopt the Méthode platform,” commented Gabriella Franzini, EidosMedia group CEO. “But the effective management and distribution of knowledge resources is increasingly important to organizations in all kinds of fields. We are finding that Méthodes strengths are applicable in many areas from publishing high-value business intelligence to managing large collections of product manuals and documentation, where rigorous versioning and editionalising capabilities are required.”
