Agfa-Gevaert finalizes new management structure with appointment of Luc Delagaye as President Agfa Materials

Friday 25. April 2008 - The Board of Directors of Agfa-Gevaert announced today that it decided to appoint Luc Delagaye as President Agfa Materials, effective May 5, 2008. He will replace in this function Albert Follens, who remains Vice President of the Executive Committee.

Luc Delagaye (°1960 – Belgian) holds an MSc degree from the University of Ghent. He has worked 12 years at Bekaert in several functions, of which more than 7 years in Chile as Manager Operations of Bekaert’s joint venture. He joined the Copper unit of Union Minière – now Umicore – at the end of 1996. Since 2004, he has been business unit manager of Umicore’s Copper division and Managing Director of Umicore Copper. With the de-merger from Umicore and its introduction on Euronext Brussels, Luc Delagaye has been Chief Executive Officer and Director of Cumerio from April 28 2005 till April 24 2008.
 
This appointment is the final one in a series of changes in the Executive Committee of the Agfa-Gevaert Group. The new Executive Committee will be composed of Jo Cornu (CEO, age 63), Albert Follens (Vice President ExCo, age 61), Kris Hoornaert (CFO, age 43), Luc Delagaye (President Agfa Materials, age 48), Christian Reinaudo (President Agfa HealthCare, age 53) and Stefaan Vanhooren (President Agfa Graphics, age 43).
