Tailor-made illusion of a turning movement
Monday 21. April 2008 - adidas woman: Gerresheimer presents four Coty perfumes in a colourful and fresh new get-up
Sleek shape, powerful colours, white accents: the sporty glass flacons win attention though high-effect details
Radiant colours from the spectrum of nature and gleaming white accompany the new launch of adidas woman – a series of beautiful feminine Coty fragrances under the label of this sporty world brand. This gives the dynamically-shaped clear-glass flacons not only very refreshing new accents but also magical colour reflec¬tions: at Cosmoprof/Cosmopack a consummately styled perfume quartet awaits visitors to Gerresheimer (Hall 19, Stand C/41-D/42).
The sensational shape remains unchanged. A gentle turning effect makes the slim flacons appear elastic – in perfectly designed asymmetry the shoul¬der and foot stretch forward on one side. The figure appears to be wound up in itself. It is based on a softly contoured triangle: rising from the base it shifts its angles while at the same time the bottle tapers upwards. This achieves the tailor-made illusion of a turning movement, which is completed in the cap: although the top has the same shape as the base surface it is reversed in a mirror image and proportionately reduced in size. “The concept was and is ingenious,” says Burkhard Lingenberg, Marketing and Communication Director for the Gerresheimer Group with delight. “Now its effect is even more striking.”
This is achieved by just a few – highly effective – design tricks. Instead of transparent caps the tone is now set by strongly coloured ones – mouth-watering raspberry red for ‘Fruity Rhythm’, lush bright green for ‘Floral Dream’, summery orange for ‘Tropical Passion’, ocean-fresh turquoise blue for ‘Pure Lightness’. In delicate nuances the contents take up these hues, reinforced by a coloured base: only lightly and transparently coated it produces fascinating reflections in the clear glass – making the colours rise in the gleam of the sides and blaze in the light like flames. The adidas emblem and name appear in clean contrast: instead of gold, organic screen printing now flashes in snow white, with an extremely alluring effect against the new resplendence of colour.
