KODAK Scan Station 120EX With Digitech Systems, Inc. Software Advances Enterprise Content Management Capabilities for Customers

Thursday 10. April 2008 - Combining network scanning with the right software provides companies a convenient way that anyone in the office can use to scan documents into full featured document management systems to securely organize, store and retrieve information quickly.

Kodak and Digitech Systems, Inc. announces the integration of Digitech System’s PaperVision Enterprise and ImageSilo Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software with the KODAK Scan Station 120EX Networked Scanner, a combination that will enhance information security, retrieval and organization.

Integrating PaperVision Enterprise and ImageSilo Software with the KODAK Scan Station 120EX Networked Scanner provides companies with the ability to index and upload scanned documents directly from the scanner into their ECM systems. With Digitech Systems’ software organizations can manage electronic files, paper records, images, print streams and even email messages.

“More businesses are incorporating document capture and management into existing workflow processes. It’s important that these applications are flexible, quickly connectable and functional to offer the best solution for their needs,” said Roger Markham, Marketing Manager for Distributed Capture, US&C, Document Imaging, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group. “The KODAK Scan Station 120EX expands the circle of choice and simplifies the use of distributed scanning technologies available to customers by directly integrating third party software.”

The KODAK Scan Station 120EX is a specially configured version of the commercially available KODAK Scan Station 100 network scanner. It is designed to give independent software vendors direct installation capability for their software and provide customers with an enhanced document capture solution. Digitech Systems is the first independent software vendor to integrate its software with the scanner.

Digitech Systems’ software has been recognized in the InfoWorld 100 and CRN Emerging Technologies surveys for extensive features and security controls. ImageSilo software received a Technology ROI Award from Nucleus Research, a technology research firm, for positive, bottom line financial return on investment based on case study results.

“Pairing our software with the Scan Station helps customers improve productivity and brings a whole new level of document management efficiency to business.” said HK Bain, CEO of Digitech Systems, Inc. “The ability to upload information directly from the Scan Station to an enterprise content management system for security, management and retrieval facilitates regulation compliance, protects information from disaster and reduces overall information management costs.”
