HP Strengthens Offering for Federal Agencies with Introduction of HP Forms and Document Automation Solution
Wednesday 02. April 2008 - HP today announced a solution that enables governments and educational institutions to move from costly pre-printed forms and processes to automated, enhanced secure delivery of on-demand electronic forms and document creation.
Announced at the FOSE 2008 tradeshow, the HP Forms and Document Automation Solution allows users to create professional-looking documents on-demand and automatically distribute them to the point of need.
Additionally, the solution eliminates high costs associated with warehousing and processing of pre-printed forms, thus enabling public sector customers to reallocate funds to mission-critical projects.
“HP is able to provide agencies with a full portfolio of software, hardware and services to help them manage and transform their technology environments,” said Tom Hempfield, vice president, Federal Business Organization, HP. “We have designed solutions to easily scale to agenciesÂ’ needs, increase data security and minimize energy usage. The federal government has a long-term partner in HP – one that they can trust to understand their needs and is committed to its success.”
The new HP Forms and Automation Solution is expected to be available in the United States for purchase on April 30. At FOSE 2008, HP also will spotlight new data center transformation services; the HP BladeSystem c3000 enclosure; a four-socket HP Integrity BL870c server blade for memory-intensive data center workloads; HP StorageWorks MSA2000 and EVA4400 storage disk arrays.
HP also will highlight a centralized, hardened security appliance, the HP Secure Key Manager (SKM), and the 6720t Mobile Thin Client, which offers enhanced security capabilities. Finally, HP will display the xw4550 workstation, a low-cost, energy-efficient workstation that meets ENERGY STAR 4.0 compliance and features an 80 PLUS certified power supply.
HP is located in booth 1600 at FOSE 2008, which is taking place April 1-3 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
