Digital Information presents InkZone Move

Wednesday 02. April 2008 - InkZone Move Press can measure the color bar on offset sheets using X-Rite’s EyeOne spectrophotometer. By adding the optional DC 2/4/8 electric drive, IZ Move with EyeOne can be upgraded into a fully automatic pressroom scanning system.

InkZone Move Plate provides quality control on offset plates.
InkZone Move Wedge compares proof and print and ensures compliance with international quality standards or shop target values.
InkZone Move Press is supplied with a manual guide ruler for measuring color bars on the A3 Plus (12.5 x 18″/2 up) and the 50 x 70 cm (20 x 28″/4up) formats. For measuring larger formats such as 70 x 100 cm (28 x 40″/8up) and for fully automatic measurement the DC2/4/8 electric drive can be added. For the first time, automatic scanning of color bars has become truly affordable with the aid of the Eye-One by X-Rite.

The InkZone Move Press software package supplies a press operator with all the necessary print characteristics for maintaining a consistent print run.

IZM Press employs the EyeOne spectrophotometer for scanning press sheets – a similar product is IZM Plate. The latter is adapted for evaluating metal or polyester offset plates. The software and instrument monitor the process and that data can also be used for calibrating a plate setter.

IZM Wedge, the third module within the InkZone Move suite compares the color values measured on print and proof by the EyeOne and compares them according to ISO/GRACoL/SWOP/House standards.

All program elements of InkZone Move (IZM Press, IZM Plate and IZM Wedge) write their measurements into a shared data structure. This ensures a comprehensive quality control of proof, plate and print.

Of course, IZ Move is fully compatible with Digital Information’s preset and closed loop solutions, IZ Perfect and IZ Loop. The combination of these products creates a cost-effective online integration for nearly any offset printing press. All InkZone products are based on the JDF industry standard by the CIP4 organization.
