Ricoh Continues Fifth Season of Advertising With Major League Baseball

Wednesday 26. March 2008 - Ricoh Americas Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, today announced that for the fifth consecutive year it will maintain a strong advertising presence in the pre-, post- and in game broadcasts of Major League Baseball (MLB) throughout the entire 2008 season.

Ricoh is the sponsor of the broadcasts of Major League Baseball games on FOX Sports Net, the YES Network SportsNet NY and other regional sports networks representing 25 teams in 22 markets.

To build on the momentum Ricoh gained last year, it is continuing with the “I am Your Idea” campaign, which ties into Ricoh’s dependability strategy as well as the overall theme of moving customer ideas forward. The campaign will include 30-second spots that highlight Ricoh’s overall line of high-quality and reliable products and solutions, including its award-winning color products and line of printers, copiers and multifunction products (MFPs).

This year Ricoh Company, Ltd., the parent company of Ricoh Americas Corporation will sponsor the “2008 Ricoh Major League Baseball Opening Series,” which is taking place in Tokyo, Japan at the Tokyo Dome. Sponsoring the opening series in Japan is part of Ricoh’s strategy to enhance the power of its brand globally. Ricoh’s title sponsorship includes the opening series of Major League Baseball between the World Series Champion Boston Red Sox and the Oakland Athletics, on March 25 and March 26.
