New Cookie & Cupcake Carrier From Snapware(R),Customizable, Convenient, Easy-to-Carry
Monday 17. March 2008 - The Cookie & Cupcake Carrier from Snapware (R) Corp. is the answer for consumers who want a customizable, portable tote for cookies, cupcakes -- and beyond!
Unlike other cupcake storage units on the market, the Cookie & Cupcake Carrier features an innovative design which not only accommodates cupcakes and muffins, but also a variety of other goodies which don’t have a round base. The carrier can be even further customized to hold as few or as many cupcakes (or other goodies) as desired.
The Cookie & Cupcake Carrier is a new addition to Snapware’s Snap ‘N Stack(R) product line. Snap ‘N Stack technology allows consumers to build their own custom container — literally! For example, you can choose to use one or both of the trays that come with the basic two layer unit. Or you can buy multiple Cookie & Cupcake Carriers, and snap together as many trays as you need to create your own custom stack.
“Our objective was to create a container that would work for storing and transporting a wide variety of foods. Consumers tell us that they love the flexibility they get from Snapware’s Cookie & Cupcake Carrier design,” says Heidi Slocumb, director of marketing, Snapware.
The basic two layer Cookie & Cupcake Carrier product is 14.25″ long x 10.5″ wide x 7.5″ high. It features two interlocking trays, plus a lid with a sturdy carrying handle. Each tray has a removable and reversible insert, complete with handles for easy removal. The insert can also function as a serving piece.
On one side, the insert has been molded with 12 rings that position and stabilize cupcakes and muffins. The reverse side features a smooth surface which can be used in two ways. When the insert rests at the bottom of the tray, it can accommodate a one-quarter sheet cake or other baked items up to 3-inches high. However, the insert also can be positioned higher within the tray by snapping the handles in the down position so they function as legs under the insert. This creates two layers — one below and one above the insert — which are ideal for frosted cookies, brownies and other low profile goodies.
Additionally, the insert can be completely removed. This makes it ideal to transport food for pot-lucks, picnics and other festive occasions — everything you need for a portable party!
“Initial response from retailers has been very favorable. Compared to competing containers, they feel that the Cookie & Cupcake Carrier is a better value due to its broad functionality,” Slocumb explains.
The Cookie & Cupcake Carrier is made entirely from FDA-approved, food-safe polypropylene and is dishwasher (top rack only) safe. The container’s tight seal also keeps cupcakes and other goodies fresh when stored in the refrigerator or freezer.
