Fujifilm announces new plate line at Tilburg
Monday 17. March 2008 - 96 Million Euro investment
Fujifilm today announces that due to the continuing high demand for its Brillia HD CTP plates, it will be expanding its plate manufacturing facility in Tilburg, The Netherlands. The company will invest approximately 15 billion yen (96 million Euros) in a new plate line to produce CTP plates.
Construction will begin in October 2008 and plate manufacturing is due to begin in January 2010. The new plate line will enable Fujifilm to produce both processless and chemistry-free CTP plates at its European facility.
Keith Dalton, director, Fujifilm Graphic Systems, says: “The investment will allow Fujifilm to not only to meet the growing demand for CTP plates, but will also contribute to reducing environmental impact by expanding the local production of such environmentally friendly products as Fujifilms Brillia HD PRO-T and PRO-V plates.”
Tilburg is one of Fujifilms five platemaking facilities worldwide and produces plates for markets including the UK, Europe and South Africa.
