Sprinters London gets greener with Fujifilm PRO-T

Vince Brackley, director at Sprinters

Thursday 13. March 2008 - Fujifilm today announces that digital and colour litho printer, Sprinters London Limited, has switched to Fujifilm Brillia HD PRO-T plates. Sprinters is based in Brentford in West London and handles work for companies including Kew Gardens, Innocent Drinks and several Government agencies.

Vince Brackley, director at Sprinters, says: ” We chose the Fuji PRO-T plate mainly because of the environmental angle. It has meant that we have got rid of our chemistry and chemical processes entirely, which is good for the environment and for us. Installing PRO-T has added another string to our environmental bow, alongside our ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations.

“Environmental issues are very important to us and our customers, who are asking more and more to see our environmental credentials. This customer demand was one of the reasons behind our move to processless.”

The company is outputting plates on its Screen PT R4100 platesetter, which was installed in 2003. Sprinters, who didn’t use Fujifilm plates previously, is particularly impressed with the cost effectiveness of the plates and has already seen savings from not needing to buy developer or gum, not disposing of waste chemicals or of 25 litre plastic drums and no servicing or maintenance of a plate processor.

Sprinters was established in 1982 and has 15 staff. The company has its own in-house studio and prints litho and wide format digital.
