Ricoh Announces Production Workflow Services Offering
Wednesday 05. March 2008 - Ricoh Americas Corporation, today announced the launch of Ricoh's Production Workflow Services (RPWS) at the 2008 AIIM ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition.
An enterprise solution based on Ricoh’s Alliance Program partners and professional service offerings of Ricoh’s Production Printing Business Group (PPBG), RPWS enables customers to easily integrate Ricoh’s hardware and software solutions into existing workflows without the need for application re-engineering.
RPWS, which includes document management for Ricoh’s line of monochrome and color production printing solutions, enables Ricoh to offer a comprehensive suite of software and professional services that address the challenges faced when combining print centers. With RPWS, users are provided an extensive portfolio of advanced solutions for web-based job submission, job management, and legacy printing for in-plants, data centers, and graphic arts. RPWS allows any customer consolidating their print operation support a multi-vendor environment. Enhanced centralized printing, and the ability to implement enterprise solutions are enabled by RPWS.
One of PPBG’s key partner solutions that will be demonstrated at Ricoh’s booth is Rochester Software Associates (RSA), an industry-leading supplier of print workflow solutions. RSA’s QDirect is a RPWS partner solution that enhances enterprise document output management with the ability to accept print jobs from multiple sources. QDirect can manage convergence printing and publishing centers, copy centers, and network printing across the entire enterprise. Additional software modules from RSA such as WebCRD, QDirect.Scan, among other products, can be integrated into a customized offering to provide web to print, data stream transformation, and distributed scanning, along with job management. In essence, RPWS provides an umbrella service offering that leverages the strengths of RSA, and other PPBG alliance partners.
