PRINTABLE TECHNOLOGIES AND CANON U.S.A. ANNOUNCE RESELLER AGREEMENT
Wednesday 05. March 2008 - Canon U.S.A. to Resell FusionPro Web Collateral Management and Web to Print Solution from Printable Technologies
Printable Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of integrated marketing, web to print and personalized direct marketing solutions, and Canon U.S.A., Inc.(NYSE: CA), have reached an agreement through which Canon will offer web to print solutions from Printable.
Through its imagePRESS Workflow Solutions program, Canon offers Canon-branded and third-party hardware/software solutions that focus on key workflows and production printing environments to maximize efficiencies and help printers build a profitable digital print business. Canon will be marketing and selling Printables web to print solution, in conjunction with imagePRESS digital presses, to help print and marketing service providers and corporate users automate and streamline production processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
“Pairing Canon color digital presses with web to print solutions from Printable will make it easier for the in-plant production and commercial print service providers to deliver sophisticated, web-enabled document handling and procurement tools that streamline workflow through automation, efficiency and standardization,” said Coleman Kane, president and CEO, Printable Technologies. “We look forward to partnering with Canon to bring this total solution to market.”

A recent research study found “that e-procurement solutions offer tremendous benefits over traditional paper and email procurement processes.[1]” Web to print procurement tools facilitate print buying at every level, improve the purchasing process, and provide quantifiable savings and process improvements. Nearly two-thirds of the participants reported cost and process savings of 10 percent to 25 percent, and almost one-fifth saved more than 25 percent.
