PrintWorkers.com completes another successful year
Thursday 28. February 2008 - The company enjoys 25% growth and moves forward on industry initiatives
PrintWorkers.com, an Internet job board launched in 2000 for print, copy and Web professionals, announces that activity on its web site continues to grow at a rapid pace, while the company continues to build upon its recent print and graphics industry-related initiatives. For the calendar year 2007, Printworkers.com experienced sales growth of 25%, meeting their optimistic forecast. The company has a similar forecast for 2008.
The company continued successful efforts in three initiatives:
* In 2003, the company built a partnership with the PIA/GATF, providing members access to Printworkers.com staffing resources-at a membership discount-directly from the www.gain.net web site. As time has progressed, the company has provided similar services to most local PIA chapters. Most recently, the company has delivered services to Printing & Graphics Association MidAtlantic, PIA of Georgia, Inc., and Printing & Imaging Association Of MidAmerica. PrintWorkers’ goal is to direct all PIA affiliates into a single portal that is effective and increasingly user-friendly for all members.
* In 2005, PrintWorkers.com donated all programming time and costs towards an online resume bank for all Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF) recipients. Recipients are able to post their resumes, which are searchable for free by all PIA/GATF members. Resumes of each graduating class will be accessible, free of charge, for one year. PrintWorkers.com continues to assist scholarship programs. In 2007, PrintWorkers.com helped to offer a free posting service for print industry internships, available to all Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF) scholarship recipients.
* Last year, Printworkers.com helped launch a co-branded job board for four North American Publishing (NAPCO) Printing Group sites. Printing Impressions (www.piworld.com), Package Printing (www.packageprinting.com), Print Professional magazine (www.printprofessionalmag.com), and In-Plant Graphics (www.ipgonline.com), further enhance the success of registered companies and jobseekers.
“Many members of the PrintWorkers.com management team grew up around printing, and we understand the industry’s struggle to find quality employees. We spend an inordinate amount of resources recruiting exceptional talent-which assures the success of our web site, as well as the success of our clients,” comments Brian Regan, President at PrintWorkers.com. “We are able to enjoy these high profile, successful co-branding partnerships because we can demonstrate a better posting success rate. We also have not lost focus on the future. We continue to spearhead programs to bring quality candidates into the print industry. Many of these efforts will become more clear in the months ahead.”
