ReadSoft selected by National Semiconductor to achieve best-in-class SAP accounts payable processes

February 2008 - ReadSoft has been selected as the vendor of choice by National Semiconductor Corporation in its quest to increase the efficiency of its accounts payable (AP) department and align with best-in-class AP practices. “We needed to improve our current AP processes by adapting a strong, automated, workflow-driven solution that would integrate with our SAP financial systems. So, a year and a half ago, we began researching other companies’ best-in-class financial processes,” said Robert Ashe, Assistant Corporate Controller of National Semiconductor. “We wanted to decrease our cost per invoice and improve our invoice input cycle times and workflows.”
 
National evaluated several vendors’ products to help it achieve these goals. Selection considerations included return on investment, product functionality, vendor stability, and the solution’s ability to integrate with National’s SAP system. According to Ashe, ReadSoft separated itself from the competition with its SAP knowledge, experience and worldwide presence.
 
After the first implementation at National’s corporate headquarters in Silicon Valley in the United States, the company will implement the technology at its offices in the United Kingdom, China and Malaysia as well as other worldwide locations.
