FileMaker representatives will be on hand at booth # 1919 to demonstrate Bento and FileMaker Pro K-12 solutions.
Bento is the stylish new personal database software for Mac that is as easy to use as a Mac. More than 140,000 copies of Bento were downloaded during the two-month public preview. Bento trial software is also available.
FileMaker Pro will be featured in the conference session “Easy Rubrics + Rapid Grades + Clear Standards = Successful Performance.” This presentation instructs teachers how to automatically distribute class functions and grades electronically and will be presented Wed., Feb. 6, from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. Participants will explore the advantages of electronic distribution of performance and assessment information and learn how to create FileMaker Pro databases that work with Mac and Windows operating systems. The session will be led by Michael Perry, business education teacher, East Paulding High School in Paulding County School District, Dallas, Ga., and adjunct instructor of business for the Coles School of Business at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga.
FileMaker database software helps schools collect, manage and report on student and administrative data. More than 10,000 K-12 schools use FileMaker in their data-driven decision-making processes to achieve greater operational efficiency, comply with federal and state reporting requirements and track student performance.
At the FileMaker booth, educators can receive free 30-day trials of both Bento and FileMaker Pro 9 while supplies last.
FileMaker also offers the K-12 Education Starter Kit, featuring five education starter solutions, a K-12 resource guide and a student assessment white paper. A trial version of FileMaker 9 can be downloaded
