Gerresheimer Finalises Purchase of Spanish Company EDP

Monday 28. January 2008 - Gerresheimer AG has quickly completed the takeover of the Spanish PET specialist EDP.

The Dusseldorf manufacturer of glass and plastic products for the pharmaceutics and life-science industry announced the purchase, through which it continues its global expansion, on 21 December 2007. EDP with production plants in Spain (Zaragoza and Valencia) and Argentina (Buenos Aires) specialises in pharma containers based on PET, and currently achieves annual sales of around EUR32 million.
