Ferag is pleased to announce that it has been chosen by Transcontinental, one of the largest printers in North America, to supply post-press equipment for a new operation. Ferag will deliver a comprehensive package with equipment that has been proven worldwide in similar applications. The scope of delivery includes system integration and process control.

Ferag has assumed complete responsibility for the equipment, which includes three UTR press gripper conveyors, five DiscPool buffering systems, five MultiSert inserting drums with RollStream (capacity of 12:1 each), forty JetFeeders, two 30:2 Magnapak inserting systems which will be integrated into the work flow, ten MultiStack stackers and twenty SmartStrap strappers.
“In cooperation with Goss International, we can provide the best system for our client’s specifications,” said Joe Colletti, President and Chief Executive Officer, WRH Marketing Americas. “This system will set new standards in the North American market.”

Integrated Ferag and Goss systems continue to deliver unique capabilities that add value to a client’s end product; since 2006, 25 Magnapak systems have been ordered.

“We’re pleased to be chosen for another large, innovative U.S. project,” said Doug Gibson, Vice President, Goss International. “This highlights the advantages of Magnapak technology and the Goss-Ferag partnership.”

“We chose Ferag because it can deliver a comprehensive package with equipment that has been proven worldwide in similar applications,” said Gary Hughes, Site Leader, Transcontinental. “Ferag is taking complete responsibility for the equipment required for the project, which is critical when considering a project of this size.”
Transcontinental, with more than 14,500 employees in Canada, the United States and Mexico, and reported revenues of C$2.3 billion in 2006, is the largest printer in Canada and sixth-largest in North America.
